N.B. – this is a Beta version of the www.quickdef.com site and whilst its construction is moving forward at a pace, it is nevertheless far from complete. That said, we warmly welcome not only all word contributions but also comments and suggestions from those interested in words – please write to us at contact@quickdef.com. During the Beta phase, please feel free to experiment and add as many words and/or missives as you wish, in any event we commit ourselves to rectifying or removing any entries you are not happy with within 24 hours.

The accredited Wordsmith access is available to experienced Wordsmiths who have already contributed at least five (5) definitions and Wordsmith missives to the www.quickdef.com site.

It is a direct high level interface with the dictionary. All word definitions and missives previously contributed by the Wordsmith in question may be modified at any time and the modifications will immediately appear on line rather than being first checked by a moderator.

You will thus doubtless understand that considerable circumspection is necessary prior to granting Accredited Wordsmith Status and, to this end, it would be appreciated if you would take particular care in filling in the form below?

You will receive a login and password by email (sent to the address you have entered) enabling you directly
to access the dictionary interface.

Thank you for your patience and support, we look forward to your joining our team as an Accredited Wordsmith.

Quickdef is a website devoted to offering previously unpublished word definitions to the general public using a description of exactly 10 words for each – no more, no fewer. The general aim is that each definition shown on the site shall flow from a contribution made by a Wordsmith (usually also being a member of the general public). By virtue of the contribution made to the site, the Wordsmith is entitled to add a personalized missive to the said definition. The personalized missive is also made up of exactly 10 words – no more, no fewer. By entering this site beyond this Home Page, you thereby agree to the Terms of Use.
